Imperial Walkers on the North Ridge
Empire Strikes Back was my favorite Star Wars movie. The part on Hoth was my favorite, especially the battle between the Rebel Soldiers and the Empire's Imperial Walkers. Just as the Galactic Heroes line was winding down from Hasbro, they released the AT-AT and Scout Walker. The Scout Walker was part of the last "Cinema Scene." Thankfully, I purchased a bunch of the AT-ATs on clearance for very cheap. A blanket of snow from our Christmas decorations completes the diorama.
Mechanized Field Artillery
In honor of my ex's grandfather who was a field artillery soldier in WWII. He was part of a battery of mobile, mechanized field artillery. These two M7 Priest vehicles were a part of the 21st Century Toys, 32X Extreme line of toy soldiers. Each Priest had 4 soldiers and a sandbag pit. They were very detailed. The two "Timmee" trucks are vintage dime store trucks from the 60s/70s.
LEGO Indiana Jones
I used the LEGO Flying Wing and Truck Chase sets for this diorama, along with the palm trees from some other dinosaur playset. Made for a cool diorama of Indy's epic fight with the mechanic as he tries to recover the lost Ark.
McFarlane NFL Patriots
I unpackaged my entire McFarlane NFL collection last year to make a photo encylopedia at www.blurb.com. You can order it at: http://www.blurb.com/bookstore/detail/2478294 and http://www.blurb.com/bookstore/detail/2955603.
As I was sorting all the figures, I grouped them by team. This one is of the Patriots. It includes several versions of Tom Brady, Corey Dillon, Drew Bledsoe, Teddi Bruschi, Wes Welker, and Randy Moss.
Lord of the Rings - Elrond and the Elf Archers
One of my first ever dioramas. I took the ToyBiz Lord of the Rings figures and recreated the scene during the prologue of Fellowship of the Rings, where Elrond leads the Elf Warriors into battle. The intricate designs of the elf uniforms and weaponry was pretty cool. I had misplaced this photo for awhile. Would love to redo it with more elves, but this will be a cool photo to convert into a puzzle eventually. Looking forward to The Hobbit movie later this year.
Every kid loves dinosaurs. Even my daughter loved them, especially after she saw the Disney movie Dinosaurs. So like a good dad, I went and picked up a bucket of dinosaurs from the local store. A darn good set with mountains, rocks, plenty of palm trees, and a wide assortment of dinosaurs made for a fun set up.
