Anyway, Series 1 included Finn, Rey, Kylo Ren, Chewbacca, and First Order Stormtrooper. Series 2 includes Captain Phasma, Poe Dameron in X-Wing pilot gear, Constable Zuvio, and the wicked cool looking Guavian Enforcer.

Star Wars the Force Awakens 6 inch Black Series - Waves 1 and 2
I love the Star Wars 6 inch Black Series figures. Series 1 from the Force Awakens were released on Force Friday - September 4th. A few stores also received the Series 2 set. I have yet to see these out in the wild - but they are fairly easy to find on Ebay. Captain Phasma seems to be the most popular and most rare so picking her up is still a bit pricey. She is getting down into the $40s but the early day auctions were up at $150.

This is What Makes the Hunt So Fun
Collectors of Star Wars: The Force Awakens 3-3/4" figures have been frustrated to say the least. I hadn't seen any of the new figures on the shelves for awhile. One day, while traveling on business, I hit a Walmart store around 7:30AM. As I walked near the Star Wars toys - (there weren't many) - I saw the bright blueness of the new droid PZ4C0.
Sure enough - it was him, along with the other new figures from that series - Goss Toowars, General Hux, and the Guavian Enforcer. Grabbed one of each - left the remaining for other collectors, and snapped this photo, cause I never thought I would see anything like that again.

Amazon Exclusive Marvel Legends Avengers 4 Pack
The really cool thing about this set is - Bruce Banner!!! Specifically Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner. The rest of the set is standard reissue and repaints, but the addition of Banner is exceptional - especially since it seems to be difficult to get the actor's likeness rights on the figures.
This set comes with Thor, Black Widow, Bruce Banner and Hawkeye. Can't wait to set up an Avengers - Age of Ultron diorama with this. I still think we need a good Tony Stark figure - and a Pepper Potts figure.

NECA Dog Alien from Video Game
NECA sculpted and released a great Dog Alien from the movie Alien 3 about a year ago. They've repainted and repackaged the figure into a retro video game alien. The packaging is very cool and the paint scheme has more light brown to it. A great figure in some cool packaging, if you missed it the first time.

More Zombies from Call of Duty! This time, a Desert Diner
One of these days I will actually have to play Call of Duty and find out what this "Tranzit" is all about. Anyway, Megabloks just came out with another zombie building block set, called the Zombies Tranzit Diner.
The set is a broken down diner, perhaps out on a desert road, inhabited by four zombies. None of the sculpts look different from the other sets, but a cool set nonetheless to build your apocalyptic wasteland.

Funko's Awesome 6 Inch Firefly Figures
I had never seen the Firefly television show when I eventually rented the movie Serenity. It looked cool. Once I saw it, I loved it. Someone then lent me the Firefly series DVDs. Wicked cool concept with great stories and great characters. Though loved by fans, the Joss Whedon show was canceled after one season.
There were some figures released a few years ago, but Funko finally stepped up to the plate with some great 6 inch, nicely articulated figures, showing off five of the main crew characters. Included are Malcolm Reynolds, Jayne Cobb, Zoe Washburne, Hoban Washburne, and Kaylee Frye.
There are also two convention exclusives out there - Malcolm with Long Brown Overcoat and Jayne Cobb with his trademark knit ski hat.
A fun series from Funko. Nicely done.
Apparently likeness rights and licensing rights won't allow for more Serenity characters, but Inara, Simon, River, The Operative, and Reaver would make an excellent Series 2. Just sayin!

The Uncanny X-Men Alert Adventure Board Game and 18 Figures
I actually stumbled upon the existence of this game from a quick blurb in Playset Magazine. I immediately went to Ebay and picked up a set for $5. I'm not interested about the game. I wanted the figures. I wanted 54mm type plastic superhero figures that can match up against other "plastic army men."
This is a very cool set, containing 18 figures that were popularized in the 90s. All the classic X-Men are there in their 90s costumes.
A fun set that is plentiful and cheap.
