McFarlane Stranger Things Collection

At Toy Fair 2019, McFarlane announced there would be some new figures from Season 3 - at least a new Eleven and Chief Hopper. Was hoping to see more figures from Seasons 1 and 2.  In the meantime, I finally managed to unpackaged and photograph the current collection. Once again, this new McFarlane focus on articulated action and solid build is really inspiring.

The only figure I am missing is the Walmart Exclusive Will in his variant Upside Down mode.

First up - Series 3 which includes Mike and Will from Season 1 and Eleven from Season 2.

Second - actually backtracking to Series 2 from Season 1 - Lucas and Dustin.

Here is the unpackaged Ghostbuster four pack. Awesome!

And now for the gang from Season 1.

Space Lego - Lego Movie 2

I've posted a few vintage Space Lego sets that a friend sent me. Much to my delight, Lego Movie 2 has an outstanding small set of Space Lego figures. The spacemen and women are named Benny, Kenny, Lenny, and Jenny.  Love it.

NYLINT ABC Sports Truck 1980

I remember the 1980 Olympic US Hockey Team beat the Soviet Union. And I remember getting this truck for Christmas later that year. Finding this truck on Ebay is not a big deal - you can usually get it for about $50.. Finding it with the figures, cameras, and cart is difficult. Finding it with the packaging near impossible. The only other time I saw this mint in package - never removed was about a year ago. It sold for over $300.

So when I stumbled across this set with box and figures, asking $75 or Best Offer, I offered $40 and got it. Happy Birthday to me!  :-)

Predator - Machiko

Managed to snag this beautiful warrior. Nice to see Target taking up the slack for Toys R Us by selling NECA figures.

Playmobil Volleyball

When I coached my daughter's team, we made goodie bags before a tournament. I had found a little Playmobil Volleyball set online and threw those in as well. Of course, I ordered an extra set or two for myself. Beach volleyball anyone?

GI Jigsaw Store Goes Live

Back in 2000 I started taking photos of my toy dioramas.  Around 2005 I wanted to find a way to share those photos. That is when I had the idea to convert the photos into jigsaw puzzles. I tried setting up my first ecommerce website and ordered 200 puzzles for inventory. They sold OK at several toy shows and comic cons. As work and family took over, I used my limited spare time to post to a blog which I still enjoy to this day.

But now, technology has allowed me to start selling my images without having to have inventory. The magic of just in time outsourcing.

So here it is - GI Jigsaw relaunched almost 13 years later.  Thanks for checking it out.

I also turned 48 today so figured I better start going after my passions. Life is too short.
