Vintage Kenner Star Wars - Peanuts Mashup

Not sure how this started. I was going through some storage boxes and pulled out some vintage Kenner Star Wars playset parts - Land of Jawas, Imperial Attack Base (Hoth), etc. My daughter started setting up her Peanuts figures in them....and wala! Quite the fun mashup of properties.

And later on, the Scooby Doo gang joined the party.

I'm thinking an AT-AT painted like the Mystery Machine would be pretty darn cool.

What mash-up would you do with toys?

Force Awakens X-Wing

On Force Friday, the Force Awakens X-Wing was released. I managed to grab one despite the poor distribution on such a big shopping day. Overall, not too bad despite it's $50 price tag. Many complained about the wing cannons which warped and bent fairly easy. The removable soft plastic nose cone was also bent. I may try and put them in hot water and reshape them in cold water.

Star Wars Black Series Amazon Exclusive Stormtrooper Evolution 4 Pack

As the Force Awakens line ups were announced, Amazon announced a cool 4 pack - showing the evolution of the stormtroopers. The 4 pack includes Stormtroopers from Episode 2, 3, 4 and 7. A nice folding box makes this an impressive display.

Funko "Evolve" Video Game Figures

The figures are pretty darn cool. Well sculpted, Funko has brought a cool set to action figure collectors. I managed to grab Val and Maggie. I am looking for the others.

MiniMates Muppets Series 1

Not a lot of Muppet stuff out there since Palisades went out of business and stopped their awesome Muppets lines (moment of silence). Diamond Select has stopped up and made some Mini-Mates. While I never liked the Mini-mates sculpts, the additions to make these Muppet figures true to form are really darn good.

Series 1 includes Kermit and Miss Piggy, Fozzy and Scooter, Bunson Honeydew and Beaker, and the Toys R Us Exclusive Bunson and Beaker burned up...probably some lab experiment gone horribly wrong.

Series 1 also includes a Chef 2-pack and a Gonza 2-pack. Series 2 includes Reporter Kermit with Rowlf, Dr. Teeth with Animal, Statler with Waldorf and Crazy Harry with Mahna Mahna!

Diamond Select is also coming out with 4-6 inch figures of the Muppets this spring. Series 1 includes Fozzie with Scooter, Gonzo with Camilla, and Kermit with Robin and Bean Bunny. Series 2 includes Electric Mayhem drummer Animal comes with his drum kit, scientist Bunsen Honeydew comes with his assistant Beaker, and hecklers Statler and Waldorf come with chairs and a balcony!

The Walking Dead - New York Comic Con "Alpha" Exclusive

Walking Dead fans beware - there is a new threat looming. Rick Grimes and company have found relative peace after their All Out War with Negan. However, a new group threatens their communities - the Whisperers. Camouflaged in walker skins, the Whisperers live in the wild and move among the zombie hordes.

Alpha, their leader, checks out Rick and company during the community fair, and takes revenge in horrific fashion for their perceived slight of Rick trespassing on their territory.

Skybound released this exclusive during the New York Comic Con. It is an awesome addition to the Walking Dead collection, and Alpha and her Whisperers may be Rick's biggest threat. Even bigger than Negan.
