Star Wars - Black Series - Obi Wan, Ezra and Chopper

Lucasfilm, Disney and Hasbro are keeping mum on what's coming up with the Triple Force Friday, so this latest set of Black Series figures fills out some significant gaps from past movies.

First, we have Obi Wan Kenobi from The Phantom Menace. Glad they made this one. Definitely a much needed character in the prequels. Will go well with Qui-Gonn and Mace Windu and the ever elusive Battle Droids.

Then, the animated Rebels group gets completed (almost). Still waiting for Zeb, but nice to get Ezra Bridger and Chopper.

Stranger Things - Season 3 - McFarlane - Eleven and Hopper

Sure would be nice to get more of the characters from Seasons 1 and 2 but oh well. I just finished watching Season 3. Amazing.

McFarlane brings us an updated Eleven and Sheriff Hopper in their wonderful 80s attire.

Can we please get Steve, Robin, and Erica from Scoops Ahoy?!?!?

Fortnite - Jazwares Black Knight and Building Set

More of these wonderful 4 inch Fortnite figures from Jazwares. This set has the one Black Knight figure and a ton of building material to build forts.

While visiting my brother and his family a few weeks back, my nephew and I built tons of forts and set up his figures out of these Jazwares sets. It was a blast. And we even shot the figures off with Nerf guns. It's like playing the video....but better.

Star Wars Black Series Luke Death Star Escape Target Exclusive

Even though Hasbro already released a Luke in Stormtrooper outfit several years ago, I guess it was time for an upgrade...at least some slicked back hair and dirt when tangling with the trash compactor monster and being dragged underneath the muck.

Anyway - you can't go wrong with any Original Trilogy figure and this one is iconic. I need to build a trash compactor diorama one of these days. We have all the characters in six inch scale.

Marvel Legends - Shuri

Was very happy when Hasbro announced this version of Shuri. The limited articulation version was pretty good and fit in well with the Legends line, but now she comes in all her articulated glory, and just in time for the release of Avengers: End Game on Blue-Ray and streaming.

I typically don't like to complain, but other than Shuri and Rescue, this lineup is all upgrades of past figures and third tier characters. I don't need another Loki, Union Jack, and who the heck is Rock Python. I need more Alpha Flight and New Mutants.

Thank goodness Hasbro announced Dani Moonstar of the New Mutants finally being released, along with alternate heads for her fellow New Mutants Wolfsbane and Karma.

Marvel Legends X-Men - Weapon X

I never had any interest in this figure. I understand this is a significant part of Logan's character ark, but it never really resonated. I don't think of Wolverine being trapped in a lab. I have skipped this figure every time unless it was part of a Build-A-Figure (BAF).

While I still need to finish the Caliban BAF, I finally figured out how I am going to use this figure. Wolverine fighting the Brood. This first meeting of the Brood take place around Uncanny X-Men 162-165. Just need to rip off the lab gear and he should be good to go.

Summer Break is Over - Catching Up on McFarlane Fortnite Figures

A summer of business travel and lots of work has left this blog pretty much neglected for the last two months. Well, now that all that is done, expect more regular postings. It's good to be back.  I also need to catch up on everyone else's blogs as well. I've definitely been off the toy blog grid for awhile.

More McFarlane 7 inch Fortnite awesomeness. These characters are a lot of fun. I finally actually played the game....once. McFarlane is doing a great job with high quality sculpts and articulation in all their lines. These are fun, so pick them up if you see them.

Here we have Carbide and Omega, and Jonesy and Dark Bomber.
