Star Wars Black Series Update - Battle Droid and Jump Trooper

Managed to finally find one of those damn Battle Droids. A pain to find and a pain to stand up. Seriously Lucas, did you not realize this design was going to be a problem with the toys for the last 20 years. Ugh.

Anyway - I will be very hesitant to build Battle Droid armies for dioramas.

The Gamestop Exclusive Jump  Trooper is pretty darn cool. Fits in well with the rest of the armies.

Even here I have him leaning against a wall. Pathetic.

Hasbro Overwatch

I know nothing about this game - as you can tell by now, I just don't play video games. That doesn't stop me from appreciating great design, neat characters and awesome figures.

The newest addition are these figures by Hasbro. Awesome design and neat packaging. My first batch includes Tracer, Sombra, and the two pack of Mercy and Pharah. There is another two pack out there and two other male figures. Will add them later.

Mega Construx Masters of the Universe Man-At-Arms and Evil-Lyn

Finally managed to find these two. Evil-Lyn was a bit of a challenge. Great additions to fill out the collection, which at this point is very small but will likely expand.

Also - didn't realize Castle Greyskull - Gamestop Exclusive is supposed to be released this week.

Mega Construx Call of Duty Enemy Soldiers

I stopped collecting the Mega Construx Call of Duty building sets awhile ago. Even sold most of them off to make space. I didn't sell the WW2 style sets. Was happy to see a set of enemy soldiers (German Wehrmacht) added to the mix. Hard to have battle scenes when you don't have someone to fight against.

NECA Ultimate Gremlins

Years ago, I had amassed a nice collection of NECA Gremlins figures. Most were the cute Mogwai but also had some Gremlins.

I sold them off to make room. Kind of regret it as I was watching Gremlins for the first time in a long time a few weeks back, and realized how funny I thought the bad Gremlins were. Anyway, I had recently seen the exclusive Gamer Gremlin at Gamestop and another lucky stop at Target had the Ultimate Stripe and Ultimate Gremlin.

This is where the collection will likely end but I can see some fun dioramas coming out of this whicih I will post to my store.

Retro Kenner Star Wars Escape From Death Star Game + Tarkin Action Figure

Hasbro released this retro version of the classic Kenner Escape From Death Star Game. This was the first Star Wars toy I had as a kid. This came out before the figures arrived in 1978. Loved it.

What's cool about this version is the exclusive retro style Tarkin action figure. Odd that he was never made with the original Kenner 21. He had such a prominent role. Odd he wasn't made during the Power of the Force run. And while we've seen Tarkin since, this sculpt is definitely reminisicent of the Kenner design from the 70s.  I think it's great. Of course, Tarkin only comes with the game so wonder how many of these will end up in a landfill after Tarkin has been removed.

It is a fun game. Recommend at least one game with the family if you pick it up.
