While quarantined and out of work, I had some time to watch Red Dawn....again....and build some quick dioramas. This line definitely needs some more characters. I used the Russian soldiers from Indiana Jones and The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull for additional troops.

Super7 created two 2-packs for the 1984 movie Red Dawn, a fictional tale of how some high schoolers take on the invading Soviet Union and their allies using guerilla tactics. One with Jed and Erica, and a second with Matt and Colonel Bella.  Jed Eckert is played by Patrick Swayze, Matt by Charlie Sheen and Erica is played by Lea Thompson.

Really hope they make more. These arrived early at the warehouse and I received my shipment yesterday. So much fun!

Ah yes, the cult movie from the Cold War era where the high school football team takes on the Soviets on our own soil, in the town of Calumet, Colorado. A normal school day is interrupted when Soviet paratroopers drop onto the high school fields as a drop zone and the occupation begins. A few of the students escape and hide out in the mountains, and then start their own guerrilla war. Starring Patrick Swayze, Charlie Sheen, C. Thomas Howell, Lea Thompson and others, this is a classic, with rumors of a remake discussed on the grapevine.
