Early Vintage Kenner Star Wars Product Insert with Prototypes
I came across this old vintage Kenner Star Wars product catalog insert that came in all playsets and other Star Wars products back in the day. Thought I'd share. As I was looking through it, I noticed the Walrus Man on the floor of the Cantina was painted differently. That's when I noticed all the playsets from that page were prototypes - including the Droid Factory and Land of the Jawas. Pretty cool methinks.

Ghostbusters Afterlife - Lucky
Lots of new Ghostbusters stuff coming up, especially for the new Ghostbusters: Afterlife movie. I managed to see "Lucky" played by Celeste O-Connor out in the wild so grabbed one.

31 Days of Halloween - Pegheads Day 17-23
Here are the next set of wooden peg heads I made. I had to buy a bag of wooden pegs with smaller children sized and female figures to do this right. Still need practice. Some of these I like, others came out meh.
Days 17-23
October 17th - Ghostface from Scream
Day 18 - Zombie
Day 19 - Devil
Day 20 - Regan MacNeil from The Exorcist
Day 21 - Grady Twins from The Shining
Day 22 - Samara from The Ring
Day 23 - "Mother" and Marion Crane from Psycho

Marx Military Base - Training Center Plus some Customs
For years I've had a subscription to Playset Magazine. They are one of the few toy magazines that are still in print. Their focus are the Marx, Ideal, and Remco plastic sets from the 50s through 80s. While thumbing through a recent issue, I thought I would build a full scale training center. After all, I used to be in the Army and have been to plenty of bases that still had the old WW2 wooden barracks and Quonset huts.
Getting the tin litho buildings from Marx were relatively easy. They can be purchased fairly inexpensively though many are beat up and even rusty. While searching for them, I saw an Ebay seller who made some custom tin litho army base buildings. I purchased the quonset hut, front gate, post office and admin office. I need to add more soldiers to this and I certainly didn't think it would take up so much room but it's a fun start.
The "smoking" soldiers come from Auburn toys.
