GI Joe - 1983 Peghead Figures

 Been awhile since I painted any of these pegheads. A few weeks back, I decided to get started on the 1983 set.  I think the thicker black marker worked out better. I may go back to the 1982 series and redo them.

    Those are really cool. I gotta tell you, though, they look really cool before you apply the marker, too. I like the simplified look in your second picture that shows off the colors. There's an artist who I purchased some prints from whose style is similar to that and there's something about it that just seems really cool. I always love seeing your peghead. Doc and Destro are the top in this set. With the round head Destro looks like Charlie Brown cosplaying as Destro!

    I was gonna mention the Charlie Brown/Destro thing too. I suppose with the figures giant head, it's pretty hard to make it not look a little Charlie Brownish.
