GI Joe Classic Collection - D-Day Salute

It was sometime late 1996, early 1997...I had just transferred from Fort Benning, Georgia to Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. I walked into Walmart to scan for the new Star Wars Power of the Force line when I saw this interesting box that said GI Joe.  At the time, I didn't know Hasbro was going to start releasing new 12 inch Joes.  I loved the artwork and grabbed it. This is the first Classic Collection Joe I purchased more than 20 years ago.  The figure and artwork still resonate today.
