John Jenkins 54th Massachusetts Advancing and Marching

When I discovered the John Jenkins painted metal miniatures of the 54th Massachusetts earlier this year, I didn't realize how hard it was to get the advancing and marching figures, even on the secondary market. When I joined the TreeFrog Treasures forum and entered a Wanted to Buy ad, a fellow collector offered his set at the regular price. Very much appreciated. The sculpting and paint apps are amazing.

    Knowing nothing about the toy soldier world, is there really that many interested parties still?

      Surprisingly, yes. Many companies still focus on the Rev, Civil, Napoleonic wars, but plenty - like King and Country have brought modern conflicts. There was also a shift from glossy to matte paint back in the 80s that fueled the realism.
