Pirates of the Caribbean

I'll be honest, I never saw any of the Disney Pirates of the Caribbean movies (until this weekend) and never had an interest in the pirate genre. But then I saw these figures in Target and had to have them. I especially like the mini-figs, kind of like Funko, Hasbro Heroes, or Imaginext figures. What also caught my attention were the ghost pirates. Anything ghost or skeleton as a character is a lot of fun. And now that I saw the first movie, Curse of the Black Pearl, I see there are a lot of undead characters in these movies.

So here are the figures from the latest movie, Dead Men Tell No Tales. The amount of minifigs and the ship will definitely add some fun playtime or diorama building in any household.

There's a teaser at the end.

  1. Very cool!It kind of sucks that their weapons aren't removable.I guess that way you dont have to worry about loosing them.Awesome looking sets!

    1. Fun and cost effective. If Hasbro made this ship, it would be $150.

  2. I was honestly very disapointed with these new figures. In the past the figures where really nice but these are like Pirates jr or something.

    1. Agreed - definitely for kids. And nothing compared to what NECA and Zizzle did back in the day. But they look fun and the playsets offer a lot for the kids...of all ages.
