ReAction Fight Club

I've actually never seen the entire movie, Fight Club. I've seen parts of the beginning, some of the end, realize there is some sort of twist ending. It's one of those movies I need to put on my Netflix queue and finally watch the whole thing. What I saw was pretty cool. And what others have said about it, it's a pretty darn good movie. So with ReAction coming out with a set of Fight Club figures, that's an omen that I need to watch it, start to finish.

The set includes the Narrator, played by Edward Norton, Tyler Durden, played by Brad Pitt, and Marla, played by Helena Bonham Carter. The Durden figure comes with clothes and shirtless.

First rule - Everyone talks about ReAction figures.    Is there a movie you'd like to see ReAction honor with a line of figures? For me, it would be Tombstone....and Red Dawn.

NECA Sarah Conner - Terminator 2 - Judgment Day

"Anyone not wearing a million sun screen is going to have a really bad day!"

This from warrior Sarah Conner, in Terminator 2: Judgment Day from way back in 1991,...much different from the naive, weak, waitress we saw in the first Terminator.

Preparing for the apocalypse, Sarah Connor preps herself mentally and physically. In Terminator 2, after breaking out of prison, she goes after the scientist, Miles Dyson, who creates the Artificial Intelligence that creates the domino effect that leads to the terminators and the end of mankind.

This is a new sculpt and set done by NECA. Definitely one bad ass warrior. The only thing missing from the Terminator toy line is Bill Paxton as the punk in the beginning - "Hey, this guy is a couple cans short of a six pack!"

Which is your favorite Terminator movie? I still love the very first one. So much action and so many great quotes: Terminator Quotes

ReAction Rocky Horror Picture Show

Sorry - finally catching up to all these posts I had preplanned with photos but haven't done the write ups yet. If you already saw this post (photos only) - here is the scoop. While the ReAction figure lineups have slowed down considerably, this was the latest set that came out as a surprise. No previewing at ToyFair or Comic-Cons. It just appeared one day on sites such as Big Bad Toy Store and Entertainment Earth. It's an awesome, 6 figure line up of everyone's favorite sing along movie Rocky Horror Picture Show from way back in 1975.

Time to do the Time Warp again. Included in this set are Magenta, Brad Majors, Janet Weiss, Doctor Frank-n-Furter, Columbia and Riff Raff. The sculpting and paint apps on these figures are fantastic. ReAction has really hit their stride in terms of quality in the last few series.

As of this time, I hadn't received the Dr. Frank-n-Furter figure. Go figure - the main character is shipped late.

And if you haven't seen it in awhile - here is the Time Warp video - Time Warp.

Have you ever seen the Rocky Horror Picture Show in a theater?

Ultron - Hulk - Vision Marvel Legends 3 Pack

Target offered an exclusive 3 pack last year that aligned itself with the Avengers: Age of Ultron movie. While the figures aren't quite what you see in the movie, it is a cool set and came at a perfect time. While Marvel Legends collectors probably have plenty of Hulk figures, the ghostly, all-white Vision, is a great addition to any collection.

The Ultron figure is more reminiscent of his comic book style, and not the movie caricature. Still, a pretty cool 3 pack.

ReAction Alien 3 Pack and Alien Playset

Super 7 and ReAction had released the Alien Egg Chamber playset last year. It was a great homage to the Kenner Star Wars playsets of yesteryear - with a plastic base and cardboard background similar to the Kenner Land of the Jawas and Hoth Battle playsets.

This year, Super 7 released a three pack of the astronauts in Alien that go to the derelict spacecraft. These astronauts include Kane, Dallas and Lambert. An earlier Kane was released in the first Alien series in a tan outfit. The new Kane is in the more movie-accurate yellow suit. Dallas is in a pink suit and Lambert is in a blue suit.

Unfortunately, based on recent reports from Super 7, there won't be anymore Alien figures. So, looks like we'll never see Parker and Brent, and Lambert in regular uniform. Too bad.

Marvel Legends - Captain America - Red Skull Onslaught Build a Figure

I'm working on a write up on how much Toy Fair 2016 disappointed me, but then this post is going to be a complete contradiction. Why? Because Marvel Legends has been able to do something other companies haven't - keep a steady lineup and give us some obscure characters. And we have to buy them if we want to complete the Build-A-Figure character. Genius. Half these Marvel Legends characters...I have never heard of.

Anyway, this latest series includes Captain America (with Werewolf Head), Mockingbird, and Sharon Carter. It also comes with four villains, most of them very obscure. I've heard of Taskmaster and I know Cottonmouth has been around for awhile. But who the heck is Whirlwind and Demolition Man? It doesn't matter. They rock.

Of course, the $22 price point of each helps make a profit. No profit, no new characters. So here you go - Hasbro's Marvels Legends - keeps me happy.
