Remember these advertisements in the back of comic books?
For less than $3, you can get an army...a literal army of toy soldiers, and tanks, and boats. What a deal. And then your mom gave you the money, you sent it in, and awaited the massive collection of military figures to set up your battlefield.
And then you got these...(I found these at the DC Big Flea in northern Virginia). I never had these as a kid but always drooled over the ads. These were the biggest ripoff ever.
They were tiny, flat, and the soldiers were bigger than the vehicles.
