Print is Not Dead - Assorted Toy Magazines

Here are some assorted toy magazines I received recently or found at toy shows. The Ghost Wings magazines have an interesting story behind them. Self published by some students because their grandfathers fought in WW2, they eventually expanded their business into military art prints (Valor Studios) and then book writing. Adam Makos, one of the cofounding students, recently had his book "Devotion" turned into a movie starring Glen Powell. I went and saw it. It was fantastic.

  1. The last toy magazine I bought was Cool and Collected issue 1. Still waiting for issue 2.

  2. They're fighting in uphill battle, but I sure hope that print magazines will continue to hold out for as long as possible. Society as a whole will be the poorer when the day comes that readable content is no longer available in hardcopy.

    1. Agree 100%. The good thing is that smaller companies/collectors can self publish. Even though it is more expensive, people are getting printed content out there. I'll have a post soon about my newest find.
