Pop Culture League Challenge: Are you Scared?

Keeping with the Halloween theme this October, this week's PCL challenge is Are You Scared? What Frightens You the Most?

You know what scares me the most? Snake people! I could be really witty and say snakes scare me, and people scare me, but really it is just plain old snake people.

What the hell are you talking about, you may be asking.

Since this is a toy collector's blog, the scariest toy I've ever seen that would put me in cardiac arrest if these were real are the Boss Fight Studios Gorgon sisters and their army. These awesome 1:18 (3-3/4 inch) scale action figures from one of the most successful action figure Kickstarters ever.

Check these awesome figures out and imagine running into these at life size in a dark alley.  Hell, in the bright sunlight, I would freak the hell out.

For real though, I hate spiders. Bugs and snakes don't scare me. I hate being in tall buildings, especially in New York City. I went up to the Top of the Rock at Rockefeller Center this past spring and couldn't wait to go back down after snapping a photo or two.

Check out these other fearful things from our fellow Leaguers!

Alexis hates spiders. So do I. So do I.

With that...I think I won't reveal anyone else's fears. You'll  have to check them out yourself. They are chilling.

  1. After reading your posting I can say I am now officially afraid of snake people as well! If I met one in a dark alley I would have ano instant heart attack!

    1. I would have to agree with Cassie and Toy Box on this. Honestly if I saw the Masters of the Universe Snake Men I'd be terrified to!

    1. Thanks. Boss Fight really did a nice job in this line. Their next series is either mystical or space. Hope it is the mystical fantasy stuff - their prototypes of the elves are awesome.

  3. Ray Harryhausen's Medusa from Clash of the Titans is one of my earliest fears. Not totally a snake person, but close enough. She freaked me out! (and still does.)
