Typically I am not a fan of repaints, though I do like repackaged items if they go towards the vintage Kenner style. Well, Hasbro sold exclusive repaints of most of its Mandalorian 6 inch collection called the Credit Collection. They were offered (and sold out quickly) from Best Buy, Target, Amazon, and Game Stop. I only managed to preorder the IG11 and Death Trooper.
The Death Trooper was not part of the original lineup obviously but nice to have them added. Wish they would have done an Offworld Jawa but you can't really repaint the cloth cloak.
The Credit Collection figures include a plastic credit chip with the figure. OK, that's cool, but not worth a repaint. The cool part is the figure and card art is reflective of the paintings shown at the end credits of each episode. Love that artwork. So two reasons for the "credit" collection. Once I got IG11, I'm going to have to try and get the rest. We'll see how expensive they get on the secondary market.
So without further ado, IG11 in his Credit Collection version.
He's pretty cool looking and on display you could just pretend it's another IG series droid. I've never been a huge fan of the Black Series IG sculpt, though. It feels really flimsy. Does this one feel any better?
ReplyDeleteIt's the same sculpt. What bugs me is how difficult it is for his droid hands to hold his weapons. I always found IG88 boring until The Mandalorian turned him into something so awesome.
