Super7 Shogun Warrior Toho Godzilla

I preordered this awhile ago from Super7. Totally forgot about it until I got the shipping notice. Came in the same time as the Futurama Bender shogun. Battles await.

Super7 ReAction Figure - Shogun Warrior Rodan

Years ago, Super 7 released a set of 3-3/4 inch scale Shogun Warriors. I managed to grab three, but missed out on Mazinger. Can't even find him on the secondary market. About two years ago, Super7 released a 4 inch recreation of the Shogun Warrior Godzilla from back in the early 80s, complete with box. Now, Super7 releases the Shogun Warrior Rodan figure in small size. A vintage Rodan will set you back about $900 loose and about $2500-$4000 boxed. This small guy is perfect and will do.

This figure was brilliant on Super7's part. They had already done some Shogun Warriors in 3-3/4 inch scale. Now they released the Mattel Shogun Godzilla from the early 80s in small scale to include a box just like the original. Absolutely love this. Wish they would make the rest of the Shogun Warriors in this sort of packaging.

 

Big Freakin Godzilla

I haven't seen the movie yet...heard it's great.

Had the 18 inch Mattel Shogun Godzilla from the late 70s and early 80s. Loved that thing.

So had to get the big freakin JAKKS Pacific Godzilla currently at big box toy stores.

Here's the 18 inch Shogun Godzilla...for nostalgia's sake.

And Dork Dimensions already did a side by side comparison of the two. Very cool.
