Schleich Polar Bears

I have a bin of plastic Schleich and Safari animals I purchased for my daughter to play with when she was young. I kept them around because my nieces and nephews love them when they visit. I had them sitting out and decided to photograph them with some more realistic diorama terrain material I've  purchased over the last year or so.  Here are the polar bears.

From Concept to Screen to Collectible - Stephen Sansweet's Seminal Star Wars Book

I remember when this book came out. I picked it up while in college. Took me back to those awesome years between 1977 and 1983. I used the full page spread of the entire collection to inventory my vintage set a few years ago and fill in the gaps.

This is the Hasbro GI Joe 442nd Infantry - Nisei (Japanese-American) soldiers that fought in Europe for the US Army. They are one of the most decorated units in US Army history.

One Sixth Memories - Utah GI Joe Collectors Club

This occured around 2004.  Don't remember whose house or collection this is, but I took this at one of our monthly gatherings. Good times. Cool stuff.

One Sixth Memories - Modern Desert

I took these photos in the spring of 2003. By that time, we had already invaded Afghanistan following 9/11 and just prior to invading Iraq. I had left active duty in the summer of 2000 but had stayed in the National Guard.

Yes - some of these photos were taken with black and white film. One-sixth scale vehicles included the Bradley Fighting Vehicle, 155 Howitzer, Little Bird Helicopter, and a sort of Peacekeepers tank.
