Marvel Retro - Wave 5

Love these things - the figures and the card art. Wave 5 includes Wolverine (Brown and Orange), Dark Phoenix, Falcon, Venom, and Mr. Fantastic.

By the way, Wave 6 includes Thor, Thing, Green Goblin and classic Black Widow.

It's NFL Draft Day - Nice to See NFL Figures Again (from Imports Dragon)

From 2001 until 2018, McFarlane graced us with almost 1000 awesomely sculpted and painted football heroes. Not sure why they teamed up with Madden, maybe to get more sales, but the last few years of the line struggled with low distribution and high prices. For the most part, they didn't stay on shelves long. Also, over the years, I'm sure people got tired of purchasing a 7th version of Brett Favre, Tom Brady, and the Manning brothers. 

Taking over the line is Imports Dragon who also took over the MLB and NHL figures from McFarlane years ago, and NBA shortly thereafter. After a three year hiatus, football figures are back. I'm pretty sure Imports purchased the molds from McFarlane because the designs are near identical. It that's the case, so be it, makes it more affordable for them to continue the line.

I'll be taking a closer look at these individually as we approach September and the beginning of the NFL season. In the meantime, here's Series 1. All new players (except Tom Brady) - but no worries - he's on a new team and he is the GOAT.  This first series includes Josh Allen, Derrick Henry, Lamar Jackson, TJ Watt, Patrick Mahomes, Justin Herbert, Tom Brady, DJ Metcalf, Aaron Jones and Baker Mayfield. I'm guessing by the time the season starts, Mayfield will no longer be a Cleveland Brown.
