Early Kenner Star Wars Catalog Includes Prototype Photos
I always loved those little catalogs that came with Kenner Star Wars toys. I was thumbing through one the other day when I saw some differences in the playsets. A closer look revealed these to be prototypes of the Land of Jawas, Droid Factory, Cantina and diecast vehicles. I thought it was a cool little find.

That's so cool to see the various prototypes and such. That Dewback is pretty nifty. He kind of looks more like the Special Edition Dewback than the original.
ReplyDeleteYep. I've had this booklet for years. First thing I noticed that was odd was darker Walrusman on the ground of the cantina. Then I noticed the door was on the wrong side...wait a minute...these are prototypes.
